Activities

 

Fellowship Dinners

Are held the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Hood Hall. Bring your own table service, beverage and a dish to share for just the table where you sit. A collection is taken.

Mugs on Monday

Are held the second and fourth Mondays during the winter season at 8:30 a.m. at Hood Hall. Bring your own mug for coffee. There is a small charge for coffee and donuts or bagels.

Bowling

A group goes bowling at a local bowling alley each Tuesday afternoon. January through March the time for bowling is 1:00 p.m.

Golf

A group meets to play golf each Wednesday from November – mid-April. The first tee time is 11:10 a.m. The cost is $26.75.

Blood Pressure Clinic

A blood pressure clinic is held every other Wednesday in Hood Hall during the Winter season.

Prayer Meetings

Are held every Thursday from 9 – 10 a.m. Men meet at several different homes and the Villa dining room. Women meet at the church annex. Any changes are announced at the Wednesday night service.

Quilters and Stitchers

Meet Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon at Martha’s Place. Anyone who enjoys sewing, fun & fellowship is welcome to participate.

Wood Carving and Wood Project

Classes are held on Thursdays from 7 – 9 p.m. at the wood shop.

Game Night

Every Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Maxwell Commons. You are welcome to join us and bring a favorite game.

Nine-hole Golf Course

Our golf course is located at the south end of the park. Dues for the season are $15.00. Visitors pay $1.00 per game.

Mini-Golf

The mini-golf course is located just beyond the Shuffleboard Courts between the church and Hood Hall. The course is available from daybreak to 10 p.m. Equipment is available. A donation is requested.

Fitness Center

It is located in the center of the park just off the walkway to the church. You may obtain a key at the Park office.

Shuffleboard

Shuffleboard courts are located on the west side of Hood Hall.

  • The cost per person is $10.00 per calendar year.
  • Visitors or residents, (without an annual pass),  may utilize the courts at a cost of $1.00 per day.
  • Annual and daily fees are paid at the Light and Life Park during normal operating hours.
  • Children under twelve (12) must be accompanied by an adult.
Christmas Bird Count

Twice annually a group of birders participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count to determine the state of the bird population of the U.S. and Canada. Watch for announcements.
